I joined J G Wealth Ltd as a fully qualified Financial Adviser back in 2017. I help my clients understand and meet their financial objectives by really understanding their current situation and long-term goals. The key areas of advice I focus on are Retirement Planning, Intergenerational Wealth Planning and Corporate Clients.
In a previous life I worked in Accountancy and MI from which I spent the majority of my time working closely with Company Directors this helped provide me with a great base of knowledge for helping similar clients as a financial adviser. I take great pride in helping people achieve their goals and enjoy providing this service to my clients.
My hometown is Doncaster in South Yorkshire, I moved down to London in spring of 2017 to join the Practice. Having competed in Athletics since the age of 8 I went on to become four time South Yorkshire 800m Champion by the time I was 17. At which point I was invited to join the GB youth development group for a number of occasions where I trained with the likes of Mo Farah, Michael Rimmer and Tom Lancashire. More recently, I completed my very first Triathlon in September 2019 raising money and awareness for Meningitis Now, a charity close to my heart.
I joined J G Wealth Ltd in 2019 after going through the St. James’s Place Academy programme, which has been a fantastic experience, learning about my role as an adviser. I look to help my clients by first understanding them and their situations, then focusing on what it is they need, and seeing how I can help them reach their financial goals. I also have continued my learning, post academy, and keep up to date with the ever-changing financial sectors information.
Prior to J G Wealth, I have been in the financial services industry for almost 10 years, working for Barclays Bank and Habib Bank in London. This has been extremely useful and given me great in-depth experience in communication and problem solving, and as a result I have a strong work ethic. I see my adviser role as a massive opportunity for me to meet a world of new people, and I see myself in this role for the long term. What this means, is that I go into every meeting with the knowledge that I can help and will be there for my clients for many years to come. I look forward to meeting and building lasting relationships with anyone I can work with.
Outside of work, I enjoy most forms of sport. I play golf, and I have 2 hole-in-ones to my name …. so far! I play football weekly and have played at Wembley Stadium.
I am the Paraplanner for J G Wealth Ltd; providing support to James Gill, the director, and Simon Wade, a financial adviser.
My role is to help ensure that recommendations adhere to St. James’s Place guidelines and regulatory requirements prior to Business Assurance approval. I intrinsically believe that all advice should be tailored to each client and in their best interests, and so take pride in ensuring that all recommendations meet a constant level of quality for our clients.
Prior to joining J G Wealth Ltd, I was a Paraplanner for a firm not part of
St. James’s Place. My first steps into the finance industry were in March 2014 when I started as an apprentice support consultant. Only three months later, while still completing my apprenticeship, I was asked to become a Paraplanner and have been dedicated to expanding my knowledge ever since.
Outside of work, I have been studying towards the Japanese Language Proficiency Tests and occasionally play the guitar – not very well, I might add. I thoroughly enjoy almost any genre of music and plan on travelling and experiencing more of the world in the future.
